GATHERING OF PERSONALLY-IDENTIFYING INFORMATION
Certain visitors to DirtSat’s Marketplace choose to interact with DirtSat in ways that require DirtSat to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that DirtSat gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up to provide a name, phone number, and email address. Those who engage in transactions with DirtSat are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the personal and financial information required to process those transactions.
In each case, DirtSat collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with DirtSat. DirtSat does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities
PROTECTION OF CERTAIN PERSONALLY-IDENTIFYING INFORMATION
DirtSat discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on DirtSat’s behalf or to provide services available at DirtSat’s Website or Marketplace, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. Some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country; by using DirtSat’s Marketplace, you consent to the transfer of such information to them.
DirtSat will not rent or sell potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information to anyone. If you are a registered user of the DirtSat Marketplace and have supplied your email address, DirtSat may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with DirtSat and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. DirtSat takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.
DELETION OF PERSONALLY-IDENTIFYING INFORMATION
At any time a customer may request the deletion of their account and associated personally-identifying information. DirtSat will return or delete a customer’s personal data, unless further storage of such personal data is required or authorized by applicable law. If return or destruction is impracticable or prohibited by law, rule or regulation, DirtSat shall take measures to block such personal data from any further processing (except to the extent necessary for its continued hosting or processing required by law, rule or regulation) and shall continue to appropriately protect the personal data remaining in its possession, custody, or control.
To request the deletion of your data, contact DirtSat support. A confirmation response will be sent within 48 hours, and when applicable under the terms of this policy, data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
2. HOW DO WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: We process your information for purposes based on legitimate business interests, the fulfillment of our contract with you, compliance with our legal obligations, and/or your consent.

We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy notice, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law (such as tax, accounting or other legal requirements). No purpose in this notice will require us keeping your personal information for longer than 2 years.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal information has been stored in backup archives), then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

10. CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES
Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems and mobile applications include a Do-Not-Track ("DNT") feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. At this stage no uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this privacy notice.
11. DO CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS HAVE SPECIFIC PRIVACY RIGHTS?
In Short: Yes, if you are a resident of California, you are granted specific rights regarding access to your personal information.
California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits our users who are California residents to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of personal information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of all third parties with which we shared personal information in the immediately preceding calendar year. You can ask for the deletion of your personal information.
